#4th Teaming Club Conference
How can Centres of Excellence keep growing once EU funding ends? KInIT joined the 4th Teaming Club Conference with support from the lorAI project to explore this question with others facing similar challenges.
The discussions covered what it takes to build a research centre that can thrive in the long term. How should it be run? How can it plan ahead while staying flexible? And how can working with businesses, government and civil society help open up new funding opportunities and bring research closer to the needs of society?
There was also space to discuss how to support researchers who want to turn their ideas into practical innovations. This means creating a culture that encourages them to explore those possibilities, with clear routes from research to market.
People were an important part of the conversation throughout. Attracting talented researchers is only part of the work. Giving them opportunities to develop their careers, a supportive team and practical help with relocation all contribute to making a centre a place where they want to stay.
These questions matter to KInIT through lorAI, too, as they work to create an environment where excellent research, innovation and talent can grow together.
